GE (NYSE: GE), also known as General Electric Company, is a multinational American corporation, which is integrated in Schenectady, New York and headquartered in Fairfield, Connecticut. There are four various subdivisions; Energy, Technology Infrastructure, Capital Finance and Consumer & Industrial. GE was ranked as the 6th largest firm for gross revenue among the Fortune 500 companies in the year of 2011. It also ranked number 14 in most profitable. According to Forbes Global 2000, the company was named 3rd largest in the world.
As far as observations are concerned, the GE closing stocks generally tend to move upwards on a week to week to basis. The stock fluctuates and declines on occasion by a marginal amount of points here and there, but overall GE is playing a major role in energy production and is deviating away from the company’s financial aspect. GE also has plans outside of energy, and recently started a mining-equipment business. GE must be aware of its competition and may possibly be under some pressure during the coming years. Regardless GE continues to change and progressively innovates new ideas across businesses and industries.
GE has a one year estimated target of $21 +/-0. 25 and an intrinsic value of $24. 17 +/-0. 25. Closing stocks increased eight times and decreased only four over a period of approximately two months. Which means GE stocks is more likely to increase escalate and grow over a given amount of time. After doing some research outside of recording weekly closing stocks, I learned even though a bit volatile, markets are getting stronger, infrastructure demand is solid in many places, and even though, Europe is still tough, US is getting slightly better.
Some plus points are the company’s strong top-line performance, increase in industrial segment organic revenue growth, infrastructure orders, equipment and services, growth markets, and industrial segment revenues. There has been good execution in the year of 2012 including firm earnings growth, increase in operating, energy, healthcare and transportation. Real estate also returned to profitability, so I strongly believe that the company is well positioned for future growth. GE seems to be on a roll and the company seems to have a plan that will keep
the establishment in a stable position. The company has a financially sound balance sheet (solid cash flow), has a profitable organization, is on track for more focused investment, and has safe and sound liquidity. Finally the company continues to be prepared for a variety of outcomes because of its strong market. GE will continue to strive and up its stocks.
