The ways that countries shaped are mostly influenced by their economic and social beliefs and it also make a difference between countries’ foreign policy. In the Islamic Republic of Iran with 70 million populations, there are full of mountains and desert. The climate in Iran is variable. The supreme leader of Iran is Ali Khamenei. The supreme leaders can be elected, but most of them are chosen by the last supreme leader. The second leader of the country is the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which is the president, and he is elected by the citizens with a four- year term.
The GDP in 2011 was $ 416,313,000,000. The currency of Iran is Rial and it is 1750 Rial one dollar. The most important way that Iran’s finance comes from is its abundant oil in the country. North Korea is called Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). North Korea has four distinct seasons. There are mountains and the land elevation is being higher than 400 meters so it’s not farmable. The official language in North Korea is Korean and the country is mostly consists of Korean, Chinese and Japanese. The country is Atheist officially.
The capital city is Pyongyang. The currency is Won which is 1075 Won one dollar. The GDP in 2011 is $320 billion and the main finance comes from its plentiful natural resources and mining. The type of government is Communist state one- man dictatorship. It has Cabinet which is the highest power of the state administrative enforcement authorities. The main party is the Korean Workers’ Party. The Iranian has is the ”Islam Republicanism” policy of the country which combined the theocracy and the democratic election. This was caused by the Iranian Revolution.
The government type was not so successful because it overthrow the king and establish the Islamic republican under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and brought an outcome of replacing a westernizing monarchy with a theocracy based on Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists. It is not successful because during the revolution in some part. The Iran hostage crisis broke the relationship between Iran and the U. S.. Iran is doing research on nuclear power and weapons and causes the discontented many countries. The U. S. government starts to sanction the Iran’s economy and the export of the oil.
This causes the inflation and the great depression in Iran and made many middle class citizens cannot afford the daily living things like sugar and meat. The attitude of the Iran’s government is still tough. The reason why Iran insists to research the nuclear weapon is to keep the country safe. Under the cure reality of Iraq and Libya, the different political system from the U. S makes Iran feel strongly unsafe. As a country with a theocracy based on Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists, Iran’s government has an antagonistic approach to the U.
S. culture and the diplomacy with the U. S.. North Korea is a classic example of the “rule of man. ” During the Korea’s civil war, Soviet Union provided the country a lot of modern weapons. The North Korean government was influenced by the Soviet Union government’s type and mostly was copying the Soviet Union’s government’s ideas. The Soviet Union doesn’t have a good relationship with the U. S. during the WWII and the cold war. It makes North Korea like a copycat and it doesn’t have a good relationship with the U.
S. too. In North Korea, political management is highly personalized and is based on loyalty to Kim Sung un and the Korean Workers’ Party (KWP), and it is all for the cult of personality and the nepotism of the Kim family. According to the KWP, there can be no greater honor or duty than being loyal to him “absolutely and unconditionally. ” Kim’s executive power is not checked by any constitutional provision. This type of government is not successful. North Korea is a dictatorship and militarizes country.
The theory of North Korea is a communist state but it is actually carry out a dictatorial political practice. The military-first policy of Kim Sung un is leading the country to militarizing. No matter if the citizens are starving or not, the military is the most important that need to developing like the nuclear weapons. The one-man dictatorship and the feudal thought in the country are not good for the country’s developing at all. The differences between these two countries are obvious. The different government structures make huge differences to the countries’ economy and military.
Both countries have nuclear problem but the way the U. S. government treat them are different. The U. S. government is sanctioning Iran but not North Korea. This is because Iran has oil and it takes a lot of oil producing percent in the world and Iran can keep the initiative of its industry, mineral products and agriculture in their own hands, but North Korea can’t. North Korea’s food mostly comes from import and there are still people starving. Compare to Iran, North Korea has less threat to the U. S. and the world but it is still a threat.
In Iran, one of the most important issues is their nuclear problem. Iran’s government announced that they are not developing nuclear weapons but most countries don’t believe it. The goal for Iran’s government is to convince the countries that they are using the nuclear power safety and they will not give up the right of using nuclear power safely. The supreme leader who has the most power and authority in Iran has signed a ban that in Iran, it is not allow developing any nuclear weapons. The way might seems not so convictive because the U. S.
government is still sanctioning Iran and other countries hope that Iran can give up the research on nuclear resources and weapons. In North Korea, their goal is to investigating the nuclear weapons which will probably used to attack South Korea, Japan and the U. S. North Korea is preparing to do the third-time nuclear test and as soon as it happened and success, the probability of North Korea having nuclear weapons and using it on the war gets higher and it will become a threat to all the countries that don’t have a good relationship with North Korea.
Different type of structure forms different societies which make each country different from each other, have different position in the world and some are stronger in military and some are better in industrial. For examples, Iran, North Korea and the U. S can reflect the above statement well. The unitary system is the world’s most common form of government. A unitary system is a form of government in which authority is concentrated in the central government.
The central government in a unitary system is responsible for managing national-level concerns such as foreign relations, national defense and national economic policy. The central ruler or decision-making body controls all aspects of governance, because there are no powers or functions legally reserved to other levels of authority. All areas of government ultimately are under the authority of a single body, so states with unitary systems often have more uniform laws and regulations than federations.
The future government system will look like more and more governments are becoming democratic government because under the preside of democratic government; the citizens have more freedom and rights. In the developing world right now, the people are requiring more freedom. The democratic government can satisfied most of the people’s requests and benefits not only the people but also the country itself because if the people in the country are content with there country, there will be less conflict like riot, civil war and so on.
The various government types formed different countries and different countries formed the world. Qu, Zeyi. “Iran’s Nuclear problem. ” Ed. Zeyi Qu. country risk of China, n. d. Web. 8 Feb. 2013.
