Phuket has so many beautiful beaches and it’s really hard to make the right choice if you looking property for investment. We will describe each location and which kind of property there for sale.
Area very popular among expats and tourists as there range of western restaurants and markets, with plenty of condominiums and villas. The property market here mixed and demand for villas and condos are the same. Prices per square meter depending on how far from the beach but prices for the land start to increase. This area will be perfect if you looking something in Western-style.
Thalang. Long-time ago Thalang used to be the Capital of Phuket and later it changed to Phuket Town. Only 20 minutes from Phuket International airport and with easy access to Makro, Home Pro, and Tesco. In Thalang there some oldest temples on the island. Properties here only residential and purchased by Thai Nationals.
Phuket Town. All life, business, and attractions such as historical old buildings, museums, restaurants, immigration, and other government offices, markets, hospitals, and shopping centers. Properties mostly large condominiums and residential houses. Prices can tend to vary.
Kathu. This is in the center of Phuket what gives you easy access to any point of the island. Favorite place for a Golf lover as in there some luxury Golf Courses. Properties market in the majority is residential villas and condominiums. Kathu attracts his lower prices per square meter if you compare with other areas of Phuket. The land also is cheaper.
Chalong. Become very developed over the last few years with the new resorts, bars, restaurants, banks, shopping centers, schools, and other amenities. Many expats base themselves in Chalong and open local businesses due to the convenience of things in there. Real estate market with plenty of option – small studio-sized condominiums, villas, to large gated residential housing communities.
Rawai. The southern point of Phuket with a pier and here long tail and speedboats are available to do short trips to islands nearby. Beach here not perfect for swimming. Rawai has many seafood restaurants with the freshest fish, nightlife, and entertainment. Expats and tourists love this area because it’s not far from Chalong where necessary amenities. Here you will also find a diverse range of villas and condominiums.
Nai Harn. Many people saying it’s the best beach in Phuket, with beautiful nature around. There fabulous restaurants, health & wellness centers, small shops, and all basic amenities. You can find Luxury Seaview villas which always situated on top of the hill with an amazing tropical atmosphere around. For the past few years, there has been an increase in condominium projects around.
Kata. One of the most popular beach for tourists situates on the South West Coast. All beachfront locations are occupied by hotels. Kata consists of Kata and Kata Noi beach. Some tourists prefer Kata Noi as it’s a quieter and not too busy place, where Kata Beach always with many tourists, especially during the high season. This area is mostly a tourist area with a small chance to meet any expats. Villas are located on Kata Hill with the gorgeous ocean view. You will also find condominiums mid-range and luxury.
Karon. If you want to be closer to the main tourist spot, but enjoy a good beach, then Karon is the perfect location. Only 5 minutes drive and you will reach Patong. Land in Karon with a high price, but despite this being so, the area is developed with a great choice of condominiums.
Patong. No doubt, this is the busiest area in Phuket. Patong is famous for his nightlife and absolutely full of people. Over the years this area has become very developed, with plenty of activities and shopping to keep one occupied, not to mention the bars, restaurants and night clubs. Properties here has become rather pricey over the years as land prices have soared. Villas, residential properties and condos all available for sale.
Kamala – Only 10 minutes drive from Patong and you reach Kamala area. Kamala is famous for its beach and relaxing atmosphere. There situated ones of the most exclusive and expensive projects on the island, which you can find on millionaire’s mile road. The beach has plenty of restaurants and beach clubs. Along the beachfront, there are hotels and luxury condos, up in the hills a mixture of villas and condo’s. Kamala is the new up and coming area. Land out here has become increasingly expensive over the last three years.
Surin. Some sources have been saying it was the favorite beach of King Rama 9 which visited Surin in 1959 with his wife. This area has always been considered higher and more expensive living in Phuket. Predominantly was luxury villa territory but now there are many mid-range – to high-end condos. In Surin is situated Amanpuri hotel which accommodated Leonardo Di Caprio, Nicolas Sarkozy, Beyonce, and Jay-Z, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Pierce Brosnan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and One Direction’s Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson.
Bang Tao Beach. Longest beach, with many things to do, popular for by families holidays. Also, this area is known as Laguna, which has its own hotels, golf course, parks, villas, townhouses, condominiums elephant camp, and beach clubs. Bang Tao’s properties are very high end with the exception of a few condominium developments near the famous “ Boat Avenue “ shopping center that are more for long-term residential expats, thus the rental and purchase prices are cheaper. For the past few years are growing up with new amenities and one of the most expecting its ‘Porto De Phuket’ new upcoming shopping mall from Central Festival development.
Layan Beach. On today area not very developed with properties but have a few upcoming luxury projects. Most villas are built on Layan hill and offer incredible sea views. Very high-end luxury real estate can be found in this area.
Nai Yang Beach. Only five minutes’ drive from Phuket international airport and used to be an area that offered hotel accommodation, recently there has been a few condominium developments appearing very near the beach. Here one can find an apartment at entry-level market prices. Nai Yang is a national park so you won’t find any developments on the beachfront due to heavy restrictions in this area. Will be perfect for people who love quite holiday without busy nightlife and many tourists.
Mai Khao. Used to be a very isolated area with only 5-star resorts such as Marriot, Anantara and Renaissance Hotel. Recently the situation has been changed as the land prices becoming very expensive and developers start to build projects in Mai Khao too. The beach is nice and quiet. Here you can purchase a condominium for not much if compared with the rest of Phuket.
East Coast of Phuket
Cape Panwa. This area is home to the very exclusive resort, Sri Panwa. The area is beautiful and offers a very relaxed atmosphere. Cape Panwa has not yet become too developed so its quiet atmosphere is the attraction. Fortunately, it is close to Phuket Town so shops and amenities are nearby. Folks tend to purchase luxury villas here or mid-range market condominiums.
Cape Yamu. This used to be just fishing villages. Over the years the area has become gradually developed and now offers some of the most expensive and exclusive real estate on the island. Here you find large luxury villas and high-end condominiums.
