Unwanted migration

In 1986, the United states of America had realized that how much ever they try they wont be able to bifurcate the natural born citizens, from illegal aliens, so out of pure desperation and to create goodwill, the then government legalized all the illegal immigrants, but after legalizing them, it passed real strict laws that would punish anyone would hire illegal labors and would penalize those who even married people from other countries for the sake of getting them citizenship.

Immigration to America is very stringent now, and it is also considered to be one of the aftermaths of the tragic 9/11 incident. On March 1st 2003, the immigration and naturalization service combined with Department of Homeland securities and formed the United States citizenship and immigration services (USCIS), which would have a function primarily scrutinize applications for refugees, asylums and permanent residence (US immigration History 1998-2008).

Though the United States of America is by far majority a country, with a complete migrant mentality and the whole society of America is based on immigration. But this same immigration has caused massive effects both good and bad to a major level to the country. The immigration that started as the beginning of a new country, is now leading the country into saturation of its own resources, right from natural to man made. America has always been to other countries like a ray of hope, for having a life, which would be far by superior than a life in their native countries.

The people who have come to America, have actually started entering into its fundamentals, and have always wished for a dual kind of existence, which solely instigated the idea that even though there were living as Americans, but still people chose to speak another language rather than English, or still supported their native countries, than America, and would only portray that this kind of behavior showed that they were only living and accepting the US culture to due opportunism, and the following words express the feeling  and longings of being one in America.

(President Theodore Roosevelt 1907): "In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant, who comes here in good faith, becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming, in every facet, an American and nothing but an American...

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American People. " Today, the effects of immigration and its foreign policies with other governments have only brought bad effects, as the crime rates and the no.

of illegal activities by illegal migrants have risen to new heights, and can be estimated from the fact that in Los Angeles, a whopping 95% of homicide warrants are issued against illegal inhabitants or round about 20,000 people who are working in street gangs commit crimes, and out of that 60% are illegal aliens (Heather Mac Donald, June 2004).

These immigrants legal don’t cause much of a hassle to economy, as there are pre judged before getting an entrance to America. Illegal immigrants won’t bother the high collared, high paying job citizen of America, as they normally take up jobs that are of labor category, and usually, the average American who is a high school drop out, has to suffer, as they charge reasonably lesser than a natural born American citizen (Carolyn 2006).

Immigrants who see their relatives and friends leading a better life than what they were living before, especially of the Hispanic and Latino backgrounds, come to America to follow their example, but somehow, everyone aren’t that lucky to survive illegally without falling into the hands of the local mafia network, and in the end they become robbers, and gangsters, and also to compliment their pathetic situations are the lazed gun laws of America, that allows illegal migrants to get weapons at ease.

. It was estimated in the year 1997, that the actual tax paying citizens of the country had to shed a monstrous $ 70 billion (Professor Donald huddle, Rice University) Migration problems are there in many other countries, situation is America is very grave, but still better than situations in countries like India, where illegal migration from Bangladesh is so high and so rampant, that they are flocking in like millions, and corrupt politicians are giving them spaces for getting votes and being elected.

Also because of the open policies of before America faced the wrath of militants entering the country and striking it in its heart, and giving losses of innocent civilians and of property. On a whole if it has to be then illegal migrants increase the population thus decreasing the per capita income, and also increasing liabilities.

A country like America, very ironically however, has to have a balance segmentation with the migration problem, as its lifelines today are on these migrant labors, who are working as cheap labors in factories and farms, or it has to outsource most of the economic services, as what it has done with the BPO and ITES industry handed over to Asian countries, by America.

If newer laws are removed that would punish an illegal migrant more severely, and if as the Democratic party’s  hopeful “Obama” suggested of having dividends to companies who don’t outsource, then America can be saved from the wrath of unwanted migration, and jobs being stolen away to far off countries.
