Police organization

Community era of police organization is the process which involves the citizens of a country coming together with the police to help fight crime. It involves providing the police with information necessary to reduce crime levels. This is effective where communities are willing to fight crime. The rise of Community Policing was influenced by rising crime levels and collaboration of law-breakers with ordinary citizens. Community policing stresses on agency leadership, problem solving, community engagement, coactive policing and organizational change.

Informal organization within a law enforcement agency refers to a network of personal and social relations which develops within the organization e. g. informal policing is where all members of a society share the responsibility of maintaining law and order equally. It helps managers not to oversee all activities of the member since the conduct of members of a group is governed by norms and members oversee themselves. Training is carried as a function of management since it imparts skills to all management levels.

Without training, members cannot acquire the current technology in the market e. g. training should be instituted to both new members and existing members. The phases used by law enforcement assessment centre include; selection phase, scoring phases, maintenance and operation phase and testimony phase. The National Labor Relation Board is an independent federal agency created by Congress to administer the National Labor Relation Act and laws governing relations between unions and private sector employers.

It guarantees the rights of employees to organize and to bargain collectively with their employers and to engage in other protected concerted activities with or without a union. For a person to hold an effective meeting he or she should consider first the agenda of the meeting and the activities that will take place and the time frame of every activity. A Training Cycle consists of; • Training needs analysis. • Session planning. • Training materials • Design etc. The major purpose of the budget is to plan for future activities and help to set goals and objectives for an organization. Budgets help organizations to set specific expectations which help in evaluating performance in a company.

There are different types of budgets and these include • Sales budget • Production budget • Cash flow budget • Marketing budget • Project budget etc. Productivity is output derived from a member of a certain group. Advances that help law enforcement do a better and more efficient job include cost, availability, accessibility and skilled manpower. Discipline refers to instructing a person to follow a particular code of conduct and adhering to a certain order.
