I have the disposition to announce in No.78-357, Williams against Brown by a per curiam opinion which is filed with the clerk this morning.

The judgment of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit is vacated and the case is remanded to that court for further proceedings in light of the decision announced today in City of Mobile against Bolden.

Mr. Justice Blackmun filed a concurring opinion.

Mr. Justice Brennan, Mr. Justice White, and Mr. Justice Marshall, each filed a dissenting opinion.
