The judgment and opinion of the Court in 72-331, Lefkowitz against Turley would be announced by Mr. Justice White.

Byron R. White:

In this case, the district court for the Western District of New York held invalid 00:16 New York statues the affect which was that architects 00:21 of the contract, but either way they are privileged against self-incrimination 00:26 before the grand jury for 00:29 their contracts 00:32 qualify as contractors based on 00:33 years.

The 00:35 in previous cases dealing with Fourteenth Amendment purely controls this one.

The architects involved 00:47 require against that 00:46 of the contracts they are performing, or if they have performed in the past, that they may not be deprived of privilege against self-incrimination guaranteed to them by the Fourteenth Amendment.

00:58 before a grand jury it would be required if they can 01:00 immunity that this Court has felt necessary 1:05.

Accordingly the judgment id affirmed.
